Burst line refers to the cracking of the paper at the indentation during die cutting or folding of the finished product. This is a common problem in die-cutting, especially in dry weather. Specific analysis should be conducted based on specific circumstances:
(1) Paper is brittle and has low moisture content, especially after high-temperature polishing, which can cause explosive lines during die-cutting. At this point, wet the paper before die-cutting, and use a water dispenser to add water to the back of the paper to increase its moisture content, making it slightly flexible, and then use the die-cutting machine. If the wire bursts during the box pasting process after die cutting, water can be wiped at the creases to alleviate the wire burst condition.
(2) The surface of printed materials has a large area of deep colors such as blue or black, which are prone to explosive colors and lines after die-cutting. When printing, do not add or add less ink additives to the dark ink to enhance the adhesion of the ink on the paper and reduce the phenomenon of color and line bursts.
(3) When the thickness of the paper (board) is too large, it is easy to cause wire breakage. At this time, the height of the die-cutting steel wire should be selected reasonably
(4) After the steel plate is padded with paper, the explosive line should be reduced in thickness.
(5) When the pressure of the die-cutting machine is too high, it is easy to explode the wire. At this time, the pressure should be reduced to make the waste edge just separate.
(6) Indentation mold or bottom touch paper is too thick, with narrow indentation and explosive lines. An indentation die with appropriate thickness should be selected, and the indentation width should be moderate.
(7) The paper powder that falls from the incision accumulates in the groove, causing explosive lines. The operator should promptly remove paper debris, foreign objects, etc

How to solve the problem of corner and burst during the processing of color boxes?
2023-09-14
Improper pressure leads to bursting 1.1. There are foreign objects in the indentation groove of the bottom plate, which leads to a sharp increase in pressure during die-cutting. This is a common and destructive cause of bursting in production. It can cause the entire dark line to break, leading to product scrapping.
